Former glamour model Katie Price was in Turkey for a £10,000 facelift despite there being a warrant out for her arrest after she skipped her £750,0000 bankruptcy hearing
Katie Price was arrested at the airport after landing back in the UK from her trip to Turkey.
The former glamour model had a warrant out for her arrest after failing to show up to a bankruptcy hearing last month. The TV personality was due to give evidence about her finances before a specialist bankruptcy court in London. Katie was declared bankrupt in November 2019 and for a second time in March this year.
The 46-year-old mum was warned she faced arrest if she failed to attend the latest hearing. Despite the warrant for her arrest, Katie flew off to Turkey to undergo more cosmetic procedures, including a facelift. Katie was seen speaking with police officers in the back of a police van at Heathrow Airport.
A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: "A 46-year-old woman from Surrey was arrested at Heathrow Airport at 19:45hrs on Thursday, 8 August for failing to appear at court. She has been remanded in custody at a west London police station to appear at the Royal Courts of Justice tomorrow, Friday, 9 August."
Her boyfriend, JJ Slater was seen arriving at Heathrow Airport Thursday evening after his girlfriend was detained by police. The star was recently seen soaking up the sun at her hotel with staples and blood on her face.
Her fresh wounds didn't stop her from getting in the pool with her son Harvey. However, she soon had to return to reality and was seen getting detained at a UK airport. Hours before her arrest, she took to social media to tell fans that she was "aware" an arrest was incoming.
She wrote: "I would just like to thank everyone that has been showing support and compassion to my situation this week with my pending arrest. Despite what has been misreported I am now in route [sic] back from filming my documentary. I was never just abroad being ignorant to what's going on and I stand by the facts, which is that there has been miscommunications here between a number of people here to do with my bankruptcy.
"However now I am returning home from work, & I am aware that I am about to be detained at the airport which is obviously what the courts feel is necessary. I do hope of course for my son's sake whi is with me that they will allow some dignity and protection for at least his sake as this will be extremely disturbing for him to see.
"Whilst I understand the importance and severity of the matter I do feel like I am being treated like a criminal. I would like to point out once again that this is to do with a very unfortunate financial circ*mstance which as hard as it has been does not make [me] a criminal or bad person. Millions of people suffer losses and go through bankruptcy's [sic], through many different reasons and mine was due to serious mental health issues and breakdowns from PTSD.
"Whilst [sic] it's been hard, I repeatedly will stand by the fact that I am not embarrassed or ashamed that this has happened to me. People loose [sic] their lives every day over the embarrassment and fear of these situations and the public bullying I've endured on this matter is simply not ok. I will continue to speak out on this and not be ashamed.
"I will address this with the police and courts when I land and I ask for my son Harvey's sake it's handled with care and compassion. I am after all only a human being. I appreciate all of you that continue to show me love it means a lot."
Katie previously bragged about her plans to have another facelift before her arrest warrant was issued. An arrest warrant was issued for Katie after she failed to attend a bankruptcy hearing last week.

A judge at a previous hearing said the former glamour model risked arrest if she did not attend further court dates, adding that evidence must be provided if she could not appear. Issuing the arrest warrant, Judge Burton said that Katie had “failed to attend today’s hearing” and had provided no explanation for her absence. She said: “It is in my judgment necessary that the court issue a warrant for Katie's arrest.

At a hearing in February, Katie was ordered to pay 40 percent of her monthly income from the adult entertainment website OnlyFans to the trustee for the next three years, in relation to her first bankruptcy. She was then declared bankrupt for a second time in March due to an unpaid tax bill worth more than £750,000 owed to HM Revenue & Customs.
She was due to face questions on Tuesday related to her finances at a hearing known as a public examination, with barrister Darragh Connell, for the trustee, telling the court in written submissions that there “remains significant information missing as regards the bankrupt’s income and asset position”.
