OverviewThe Vermont Department Of Liquor & Lottery is looking for a Warehouse Delivery Technician. You'll be doing transport work involving delivery and rotation of alcoholic beverage cases and related items, return of unused stock, and disposal of empty bottles. This class is distinguished from the entry-level liquor warehouse worker by the expectation of regular interaction with store personnel and the general public. Specific duties will vary according to assignment but typically include delivering orders throughout the state and picking up redeemables. May operate a forklift. May be responsible for counting of returnable bottles. May be responsible for inventory control using a computerized warehouse management system, product loading, and packing split cases.

Duties are performed under the supervision of the Liquor Warehouse Supervisor.

Environmental FactorsDuties are performed on the road operating a delivery vehicle on scheduled routes that require driving in variable weather conditions. Incumbents need to be able to lift 40-50lb cases of liquor, climb stairs and walk on uneven and potentially icy terrain. Incumbents will operate forklift, cherry picker, and other equipment.

Minimum QualificationsTwo (2) or more years of experience in inventory, shipping, warehouse, delivery, or related field.

Preferred QualificationsExperience operating a forklift.

Experience managing inventory or warehouse.

Special RequirementsA Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
